After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. Even if the motor was replaced under warranty, it would still be the same noisy motor. If you want to be able to talk in the vicinity... more

Our main house is cooled by a 2.5 ton conventional a/c. I replaced that unit in June with a new American Standard (Trane) a/c. On the back of the house is a Florida room 44' x 12' that was not air conditioned. Three sides of the room are sliding glass doors, circa 1989, overlooking a lake and facing east. I waited for two months to write this review. Iowa Cold, but not on the feet. I put in radiant tubing inside of concrete flooring of 800 sq ft with kitchen on another 150 not with radiant in an "apt." for my daughter. I can't tell you how nice it feels immediately upon entering. It is a different feel to the warmth. At our home, we have a furnace we set at 68 - 72 depending on what time of day(programmable) and it never feels warm. At my daughters it is set at 67 degrees... more
