Installed this boiler in June 2012 - Very good documentation - Very good response from customer service when I had a question about the controls. Checked on higher efficiency rated boilers but could not justify the much higher price. Until you make up the increase in price with the savings in fuel the unit would be 8 - 10 years old. Not yet installed, installer will have time next spring for the installation. please note it is a 2013 yr model, not a newer 2015 improved model, and of course it's not the 2016 new 50CRN model. I'm disappointed by the fact it's on shelf for 3 years. I was expecting a 2015 manufactured as I was told when I call the dealer before the purchase. Regarding the performances and value, I will update after I have it installed by the local plumber master.

I had an 18'x20' addition to heat with Hydrondic floor heat, I looked at Micro Boilers for less money but the EMB-S-5, had many built in features which made it much more economical, and easier to install. It had to fit underneath a cabinet so the size of the unit was able to be installed where I needed it. With the thermostat relays and the pump start relay built in, it was very easy to install on my one zone system. The floor was warm over night, it is quiet, and is working perfectly.

Just set the thermostat and it runs like a top, and it resets automatically. What else do you need?
