Replaced a 22 year old Triangle tube heater with the Smart 40. My furnace hardly ever runs to keep my hot water hot unless I am using it. Really holds the heat. I have had it installed about a month now and I think it was a great purchase. A little expensive, but if it last as long as my last one, I'll be happy.

I have had this Panasonic Dual Zone CU-2E18/CS-E12x2 for over 2 years now. I am pleased overall but would offer a few tips: - My application is primarily for heating, and I am in a location where temps can dip below zero. The unit does a surprising job of heating down to 5 degrees F, but after that will drop off significantly, and eventually shut itself off around zero. Modine Noisy Mar 10, 2016

After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. The filters required are a strange size, like 24 X 28. Probably even God doesn't know why.
