I recommend that you speak to a phone rep before placing your order. I didn't and fell into a sticky situation. In order to secure the full 15 year warranty om the product, you must check the cable for leakage to ground through the insulation of the wires. Leakage will cause the GFCI in the circuit to shut the heating cable off and render it useless. Hooked up the heater in late June, so no way to tell how it will work when the cold weather arrives. Hook up was easy, except the schematic didn't really tell which of the possible 5-6 spots the two line thermostat was to be hooked. Blew a fuse the first time I turned it on, but the second placing of the thermostat lines worked.

I installed this unit about a month ago to heat/cool our 3rd floor loft (finished attic) and it has been working flawlessly so far. It is energy efficient and was straightforward to install using the instructions provided and the appropriate tools (torque wrench, vacuum pump in addition to standard tools).
