The system is very quiet while running, easily have a conversation standing next to it and I can't hear it standing around the corner of the building, 10' away. The installation is on a semi-secluded lake cottage with only nature for ambient noise, it is that quiet. The only problem I had was finding a HVAC contractor to test the unit for leaks prior to firing it up.
