Ameristar furnaces ARE the same as Trane and American standard furnaces (per trane tech support), except they don't have a painted finish. Even made in the same Trenton NJ factory. This furnace is about 40% cheaper here, on this site, than the same model in a Trane is from the local distributor.

The product is well designed in both looks and operation. The detailed installation instructions made the job fun. The results - a very happy, cool wife. I recently purchased the MXZ-2C20NAHZ along with the 12K and 9K floor mounted indoor units. I also purchased two Mitsubishi line sets, wall brackets, disconnect switch and drain tubing. All items were received with very quick shipping and no issues or delays. I installed all items with the exception of the line sets myself. I mounted the outdoor unit, indoor units, installed a new floor drain in my attic to collect condensation, made a new 220 line with disconnect and ran the 14/4 cables to... more
