This is a four to five star item, or should be. However, the independent carrier used by eComfort is such a pain to deal with, I have to give it three stars to register my complaints. Despite what the email from eComfort said, the driver worked very hard to get us to accept the product without inspection, and indicated once it was off his truck it was not going back on no matter what damage we might find. He falsely claimed that because it was "over 100 pounds" he could not help... more

I have purchased and installed 3 Mitsubishi mini-splits over the last 11 years for myself and they have worked flawlessly. I have been seeing and have heard very good things about the Daiken so I made the change. The entire product from the time I started taking it out of the box to when I mounted the outdoor unit on the wall brackets impressed me. Used this unit with a 12, 18, 9, 9 set up with a 4-way distribution box, it has worked very well with very little noise. There is a very high pitched sound you can hear if you are near it, but it is not very noticeable.
