After researching many brands of ductless mini splits I decided on Daikin. They are a front runner in industry and edge out the Mitsubishi in performance. I installed the system myself and was pleased with the detailed instructions. You still need a certified HVAC installer to test the system for leaks and release the refrigerant. I was very happy to do business with eComfort as they were very knowledgeable and helpful when ordering the unit and line kit.

This was just installed recently in mild temperatures so I can't comment on how well it can heat and cool my small structure but based on the air temp it should work pretty well. I bought this because it is a newer unit with a slightly higher SEER than the KE series. The other nice thing about Daikin is the temp setting on heat can go down to 50, which is good to keep a room that's not being used from freezing (other units only go as low as 65). This fan will cost you a little more, but it's worth it! Light is plenty bright, comes with light bulbs, 2 regular, 1 night. Easy to wire. Very quiet, can hardly hear it. Moves a lot of air. My mirror doesn't fog up at all and everything is bone dry. A tissue can easily be held up with fan power. It almost tears it and sucks it through the slots! Packaging of the product was top notch, very well protected.
