This was my first time installing a Goodman furnace and I was pleasantly surprised. Installation went well & the furnace was good quality.

I replaced a Dunkirk XEB-3 (20 yrs. old) with the Dunkirk boiler above. The new one is all most identical to the old one, that is the pipes were located same as the old, so gas and water lines were easily plumbed. The old electrical wires could be used although lengthened to connect to the digital controls. The circulators location has changed, it's still provided with its wiring provided. Venting is the same as the old one. I was happy to get another Dunkirk that installed easily.

Envision the air flow between where the air will eventually come in and where it will be exhausted once you install the ductwork. Great thermostat with lots of config options. I love the smartphone app! This thermostat was easy to install, connect to my wifi and then configure. The online interface is laid-out in a straight-forward manner that is fairly intuitive. The phone was easy to download and I was immediately able to use it to control my thermostat. Very impressed so far. Wish Goodman would offer support to homeowners (not just licensed contractors), but I understand that policy. The unit came with very complete documentation that is really all the info you need for a do-it-yourself-er.
