Old unit made it twelve years but was loader and shakier. If this unit lasts as long and uses so much less power I will be very impressed.Old unit cheaper up front but used a lot more power and had a 3 yr warranty.Quick delivery, came in undamaged packing. Seems to be build well and I hope to have years of trouble free working status. A little difficult to install given the position of the ports. Our renters tell us the two heads from the mini-split system heat the home superbly. They also can't believe how quiet it is.
