We bought this unit to replace a 30 year old unit. We wanted one very similar so installation would be easy and a do it yourself job. I am always leery about on line shopping, but ecomfort made me comfortable with my experience. The unit was exactly what we wanted and installation was fantastic. We had to modify one piece of duct work--which was really nothing. I would shop at ecomfort in the future.

I actually bought 5 Pensotti Wall Panel Radiators, 3 of the 20" x 24" and two of these 20" X 48" units. They are replacing hot water baseboard heaters in a basement apartment. These heaters are stylish, extremely efficient and are priced very nicely. Installation was a snap using the included hardware, HOWEVER, I highly recommend purchasing an extra set of brackets for the 20" x 48" heater due to its weight. I purchased the Gree duct units and installed in adjacent closets to the 4 rooms with grills on the walls. The connection pipes were run through the attic to the compressor. It was a lot of work to make the cutouts in the closet walls but the units work great, take up unused overhead space in the closets and are quiet! My husband and i are old (70 and 60), and we were able to install this thing by ourselves, though it is heavy, and it is difficult to lift it above your head into the attic. We did have an electrician come do the wiring, but, it comes with a cord and a plug, so we were able to connect it to a wall outlet and use it for the couple of weeks it took for the electrician to come. without a switch, it just runs on high, but that's what you're most likely to use in the summer anyway. it's very... more
